Arthur and I are pretty much settled into our new place now. It was a long and difficult move, but we are excited to be living in our new place, which is bigger and closer to our places of work than our old house. The little unit we were living in for almost five years was in Petaluma, and although it was a cute little place, it put us in a nasty commute. Plus, it wasn’t well-suited for a dog, and we plan on getting a dog one of these days!
These photos are taken on our new porch. Have I ever posted a photo of me wearing jeans? Blue ones even? Well, now I have.
Although we have been spending the last few weeks moving, we have found a little time to do some fun things. On the 13th and 14th of this month we attended the San Francisco Silent Film Festival. We saw four films total and it was a really breathtaking experience. I am a huge fan of silent film, and that weekend was the first time I had ever seen a silent film in a theater with a live orchestra. I’ll make a post dedicated to that topic later on, though.
Just this weekend one of our favorite neofolk bands, Rome, came to California, and we saw them live. I’ll make an entire post about that too. It was a totally beautiful show with great opening acts as well.
This means I’m back to blogging! The only thing that’s still time-consuming right now is my book’s appendix, which has been taking me forever to write and edit. But not to worry, my book will be printed this year come hell or high water.
